There’s a reason why the Treasure Coast is known as the “Sailfish Capital of the World.” Avid anglers know water temperatures can determine where and how you might fish this month. Fish tend to be lethargic in the colder water. Working your lures or bait slowly along the bottom will give the fish more time to react to it and can result in more bites. Keep in mind as well, sunny days will bring fish up in shallower waters to feed.

Here on the Treasure Coast, Snook season has opened again until May 31st. We are also likely to see consistent runs of cobia beginning after Valentines Day through mid-March.
