When the weather cools and the nights get longer, that means it’s fall time in Martin County. We don’t need changing leaves or dark and spooky forests to have a haunting good time we can have it right at the water’s edge! Some of the area’s favorite haunts are being turned into parade paths, marathon trails, and festival spots to welcome the coming season. Gather your goblins together and make sure to make it to some of these events for a frightfully good time!
Hobgoblins on Parade
Downtown Stuart’s favorite more-sweet-than-spooky family fun event is back. On October 28th, families will gather in their best costumes to participate in the Hobgoblin Parade, which takes them from the Riverwalk Stage to Haney Circle. There’s where the family fun fest starts! Everyone can enjoy pumpkin decorating, face painting, live music, and merchant trick or treating!
Treasure Coast Halloween Half Marathon
You don’t need a full moon to go into beast mode-the annual Halloween Half Marathon should do the trick! This event starts at Stuart Memorial Park on October 28th. Participants are then running, walking, and zombie shambling their way over to Hutchinson Island, where they’ll run back to Stuart Memorial Park to celebrate making it out alive. A medal is awarded to all participants, and a costume contest help tops off the festivities!
2018 Big Taste of Martin County
Enjoy some big flavors for a big cause at the Stuart Jet Center! On October 23rd, meet up with interested epicureans to sample wines from around the world, food from around 30 local restaurants, and beers from local brewers! The proceeds will benefit Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Martin and Palm Beach Counties.
19th Annual Downtown Stuart Craft Festival
Stuart has always been known to celebrate its vibrant arts culture, and the Downtown Stuart Craft Festival is the ultimate celebration! Down Osceola Street, artists will be putting their creations on display come October 20th through the 21st for visitors to purvey and purchase. The Green Market will be running right by it, for those looking to get specialty products such as soaps and produce.
Palm City Fall Fest
In its 19th year, the most anticipated event in Palm City is coming up soon! Both kids and grownups can find something to enjoy here! Join everyone on October 27th to explore booths filled with food and crafts vendors, live music from local acts, and a vintage car show!
