The Treasure Coast will be providing plenty of opportunities to make this weekend memorable with friends and family. A night out in Downtown Stuart for a movie under the stars or a search for enchanting ghosts at local haunted Inn. It’s all happening on the Treasure Coast. Check it out!

LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION: If you’re a movie lover then the happiest little seaside town of Stuart is your weekend oasis. On Friday, the 1990’s classic Little Giants gets the family ready for football season at Sailfish Park. Pack up the coolers and lawn chairs and head on over for some family fun. For more information, call 772-288-5340.

The city’s majestic Lyric Theatre will also be playing a pair of cinematic classics this weekend for free. On Sunday Aug. 13 at 2 p.m. no one puts baby in the corner but the Lyric can put you front row to Dirty Dancing. Then at 5 p.m. the city gets a jolt of adrenaline and the need for speed as Tom Cruise takes the sky’s in Top Gun.

SCARE UP SOME GOOD TIMES: If you’re a fan of the many ghost-hunting shows on TV, now’s your chance to participate in a local ghost hunt.

Paranormal investigators and tour guides from Indian River Hauntings have two events this weekend. First up is a ghost and historical walk of Vero’s beachside. Ghost hunters can meet at 7 p.m. Friday in front of The Driftwood Inn, 3150 Ocean Drive in Vero Beach for a one- to- two-hour walking tour, which includes current and past ghost stories and evidence gathered by the Florida Bureau of Paranormal Investigations.

The second event is Saturday and includes dinner with your ghost hunt at Marsh Landing Restaurant, 44 N. Broadway St. in Fellsmere. Also hosted by Indian River Hauntings, the fun goes from 7:30 to as late as 1 a.m., depending on the paranormal activity. For more information call, 772-633-3955

ON THE WATERFRONT: Living in the tropical climate of Treasure Coast boasts year-round fun for its residents. If your scared of ghosts and not in the mood to watch a movie, there’s always the beautiful blue water of the St. Lucie River and Atlantic Ocean. Luckily for residents at Harbour Ridge, access to some of the worlds greatest fishing, kayaking and paddle boarding is just steps from their front door.

Situated on the North Fork of the St. Lucie River, Harbour Ridge’s shoreline encompasses two miles of beautiful, pristine riverfront. Here, you’ll enjoy the best of both worlds with a secluded safe Harbour for your vessel and with easy ocean access just minutes away.

With the west end of the Bahamas just 55 miles offshore, and the Gulf of Mexico accessible via the Intercoastal Waterway, there’s no limit to your adventure. Take a cruise to Lake Okeechobee or spend the day snorkeling and diving offshore, the pristine Florida waters are your playground.

Harbour Ridge is home to three private marinas with a combined 98 slips, ranging in size from 24 to 60 feet. For the non-boaters in the community, the estuary shoreline is also a haven for anglers, as the river is teeming with redfish, snook, tarpon and trout. Of course, deep sea sportsmen cherish the open ocean and the waters off Stuart, known as the “Sailfish Capital of the World.”

Harbour Ridge is a premier waterfront community located on the Treasure Coast and boasts world-class fitness and outdoor amenities. Waterfront walking and biking trails, stand-up paddleboard and kayak launch, championship golf, and of course the state-of-the-art Lakeside Spa Fitness and Tennis center. Harbour Ridge has it all.
