Locals joke about how Florida is one of the few places where it’s okay to wear flip-flops to a nice dinner, but we love this unwritten rule and our unofficial ‘Florida Uniform’. Whether you’re heading out for cocktails with friends at South Fork Table and Bar or going to a show at the Sunrise Theatre, simply throw on your best Lilly Pulitzer and your favorite flip flops and you’re good to go!

3. Bring Your Beach Gear Wherever You Go

Here in Florida, the locals always make sure to have towels, sunscreen, sunglasses, and a good beach read in the car.
